About Our Company

Mac Papers is the largest distributor of printing papers in the Southeast. We’re proud of the tradition of excellence we’ve built, serving customers through local facilities with local inventories and local sales representatives. Since our founding in 1965, we have continued to institute programs that allow us to offer the industry’s finest products and most responsive services — first, fast and accurate.

The customers we serve include commercial printers, graphic arts professionals, corporate marketing departments, in–house printing-and-reproduction departments, tax–supported businesses, end user publishing and the laser and inkjet markets.

Our 20 branch office/warehouse locations and 20 Mini Macs are strategically located in an eight-state region. This positions our vast inventory where it’s needed — close to our customers.

The History of Mac Papers

Paper distribution is a family tradition at Mac Papers. Mr. Clifford Graham (Mr. Mac) founded Jacksonville Paper Company in 1919. In 1965, two of Mr. Mac’s sons, Tom and Frank, founded Mac Papers to provide service specifically to the printing and graphics industry. Today, their sons, along with a team of long-term printing paper and distribution specialists, lead the company into the 21st Century. From that beginning in 1965, Mac Papers has grown to be recognized as the finest distributor of printing paper, envelopes and graphic supplies in the Southeast, with sales offices and distribution centers strategically located throughout the region.

At Mac Papers, we offer answers based on over 40 years of experience in the paper industry. Paper is all we do. We’re the largest supplier of printing papers in the Southeast, and the products we supply are used in thousands of annual reports, catalogs, brochures and other printed materials each year. In fact, we ship more than 100,000 tons of paper annually.

A lot has changed over the years in the paper distribution business. Mergers, acquisitions, consolidations, warehouse closings and technological advancements have made a major impact on how the paper-distribution business is conducted. What will never change at Mac Papers is the basic business principles established by Mr. Mac in 1919: "Encourage your employees to reach their fullest potential; chart your own course and above all else, be completely fair and honest with customers, employees and suppliers alike.”

Since 1965, Mac Papers has experienced tremendous growth, but size alone does not ensure continued success. That is why Mac Papers will never lose sight of how important it is to always be available and dependable when our customers call. This is why we will continue to provide the value of tradition, along with the latest in innovations and ideas in a changing world.
