Acquisition of Nashville-Based Boxes Etc. II

Demonstrates company’s commitment to Nashville market, underscores packaging as a core business and adds to growing team of packaging design experts

JACKSONVILLE, FLA (Feb. 2, 2015) – Mac Papers announced today that it completed its acquisition of substantially all the assets of Boxes Etc. II, a specialized distributor of packaging products and services out of Nashville, Tennessee. This is Mac Papers’ first acquisition to date in Nashville, following the company’s entrance into this market in July 2012. The deal signifies a long-term commitment to the city of Nashville, and that Mac Papers is becoming a key player in packaging distribution in the Southeast. All Boxes Etc. II employees have joined Mac Papers as part of the acquisition. Terms of this deal are not disclosed.

“Mac Papers has made a series of investments in Nashville, as part of our strategic initiative to strengthen our offering and infrastructure in this growing market,” said Sutton McGehee, Chairman and CEO of Mac Papers. “This acquisition follows recently announced plans to purchase land and build a larger facility in Nashville, demonstrating our commitment to serving local businesses with deep inventory, expertise and top-notch customer service.”

Boxes Etc. II will continue operations out of its facilities for the next year, until it moves into a Mac Papers warehouse location in Nashville. The deal adds packaging experts and customer service professionals to better serve Mac Papers’ growing packaging customer base and to provide more comprehensive sales and support solutions.

Mac Papers anticipates sustained growth from its packaging line of business, accounting for a greater percentage of its net sales across the company. This acquisition will also continue to grow and expand Mac Papers’ partnership with premier suppliers, positioning the company to bring the best end-to-end solutions to its customers that reduce cost and drive efficiencies.

This follows the November 2013 acquisition of Alles, a full-scale distributor of packaging products, systems and services out of Miami. In December 2012, Mac Papers acquired All Packaging Supplies, a distributor of industrial and food service packaging supplies located in Pembroke Park, Florida. Mac Papers also acquired Orlando-based Redd Paper Company in November 2011, which included paper, packaging and wide format printing divisions.
