New, Larger Facility in Nashville, TN Now Open

New Antioch location offers double the warehouse space and retail store

Nashville, Tenn. (June 30, 2016) – Mac Papers, one of the largest merchant distributors in the Southeast U.S., announced today that it has opened its new distribution center in Antioch, which houses nearly 120,000 square feet of retail, office and warehouse space. The distribution center will house 30 employees, including Mac Papers’ local management, a local sales team, customer service, warehouse operations and drivers.

The new facility more than doubles the size of the company’s inventory capacity in the market. The building includes approximately 107,000 square feet will be warehouse space, enabling Mac Papers to stock a deeper inventory of the company’s paper and print, packaging, facility supplies and office products business and offer same-day or next-day delivery on a wider range of products to Nashville businesses. The facility’s new retail store offers a range of cut-size papers for laser, digital and inkjet copiers, wide-format and graphics supplies, and packaging materials.

“When Mac Papers expanded to Nashville four years ago, we made a long-term commitment to invest in deep inventory, hire a local sales and management team, and deliver the same value that the company has delivered to the rest of the Southeast for more than 50 years now,” said Sutton McGehee, chairman and CEO of Mac Papers. “Our new facility in Nashville not only reinforces that commitment, but enhances our offering to customers, positioning Mac Papers to become an even bigger force in Nashville’s distribution industry.”

Located at 5501 Crossings Cir., Antioch, TN 37013, the new facility combines employees that previously worked in three separate facilities across the Nashville area. Following the opening, Mac Papers closed its two former distribution centers at 4640 Cummings Park and 1150 Antioch Pike.

Headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla., Mac Papers entered the Nashville market in 2012. Since then, the company has launched a strategic growth plan for the region, which included hiring a local sales and distribution team, acquiring two Nashville-based packaging companies, Boxes Etc, II and Packaging Professionals, in 2015 and building its new distribution center.
