ORLANDO, TAMPA, JACKSONVILLE, Florida (Nov. 11, 2011) — Redd Paper Company will sell its printing-paper distribution business to Mac Papers. According to a joint announcement made by Johnny Redd, President of Redd Paper Company and F. Sutton McGehee, CEO of Mac Papers.

“Our business is to serve the users of fine printing paper and packaging supplies,” said McGehee. “The addition of Redd’s printing-paper and packaging division will allow us to enhance our presence in the printing industry in Florida.”

“Mac Papers was the obvious choice to continue to serve our customers,” said Redd. “It, too, is a family-owned, independent paper distributor that cares about its customers and employees. That was very important to us.”

McGehee states that he expected a very smooth transition in merging Redd’s divisions into Mac Papers.

Mac Papers is a $450 million plus printing-paper, wide format/graphics, and packaging distribution company operating twenty full-service distribution centers and seventeen paper stores throughout the Southeast.

Redd Paper Company is headquartered in Orlando.
